Factor By Ben WolfinKaren Choi and Austin Willock
Summary:
* The GCFKailyn Seickel
Steps of two or more integers isfactoring using the product of the prime factors common toGCF:
Step 1: Find the integers.
* The GCF of two or equations is a factor of their common factors when each equation is in factored form.
* If two or more integers or equations have a GCF of 1, then the integers or monomials are said to be relatively prime.
When you list all the factors ofterms in the number, or equation you should be able to noticeequation- don't forget the factors each number or each set of data has in common
To factor usingvariables!
Step 2: Write the GCF you must:
1. Factor outon the GCFleft-hand side of the equation
2. List the factorsa set of parentheses
Step 3: Divide each number
3. Circleterm from the original expression by the GCF
4. If there are two or more GCF's you then multiply them together to getand put your answers into the GCFparentheses
