Negative Exponents
Brooke Kaiden and Jessica Levitzki Summary:
Having a negative exponent just means that the base is on the wrong side of the fraction. In order to solve for a negative exponent, you have to flip the base so it goes on the opposite side. Once you flip the base, the exponent will become positive.
Things to remember:
If there are parentheses, you have to distribute before you flip anything.
If it isn't written as a fraction, you put a 1 as the numerator.
